Stock Board Cut Calculator Description
This application allows you to calculate the number of boards you'll need for a woodworking project based on the stock lengths available (2ft to 12ft), and the cut lengths that are given for the project. It also calculates the most efficient way to use each board, so you're left with the least amount of scrap wood. Ideal for most woodworking projects.I came up with the idea for this when I had calculated the number of 8ft boards I would need for a woodworking project, and when I went to the home improvement store, they were out of 8 foot boards. I had to guess on the number of 6 foot boards I would need, and ended up with a few too many. This is the solution to that problem.
