Instead of following the guidebook, discover the route to the major sights by finding “Crumbs” – lots of fun for a fraction of the price of a walking tour!
HOW IT WORKS:
Our Crumbs are intriguing clues based on any permanent features found on the streets of London: buildings, signs, statues, sculptures and so on. And Trivia Crumbs are spread throughout the Trails to give you great titbits about the history and culture of the area. Some Crumbs are easy and others are slightly more cryptic – so it’s an adventure for everyone, adults and children alike.
Crumbs City Trails take you to the key London sights and exciting curiosities – so it’s the perfect London sightseeing tool. Search which Trails take you to which sights – and which Trails are near you. And when you want to sightsee – or take a break – just “Pause” the Trail. Crumbs even tells you when there’s an amazing photo opportunity!
For an extra challenge, hunt for hidden “Gems” – 5 photos of something fascinating found somewhere along the Trail.
And if you want to get competitive, the App logs your points, time and even the number of steps you’ve taken – and the Leaderboard records all top scores. But it’s not a race – unless you want it to be!
Exploring a Trail is easy. But if you’re stuck, there’s a “Help” button on the Map to guide you to the next Crumb. Trails are easy to reach too – because they all start and finish at major stations. In London, that’s over 30 Trails to choose from, with new Trails being added all the time!
LENGTH AND COMPLETION TIMES:
Trails are typically a couple of miles long (1.5 to 3km) and take a couple of hours – so you can burn some calories too!
